Dr Jing Xu

Head of Propositions Research

Jing holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics and Technology from Iowa State University (USA). As Head of Propositions Research, he oversees research into new product and capability development using cutting edge technologies. He is a past winner (2017) of the Jacqueline Ross TOEFL Dissertation Award and a co-recipient (2012) and runner-up (2023) of the International Language Testing Association (ILTA) Best Article Award.

He grew up in China and started his career as an 91¸£Àû language teacher. Before joining 91¸£Àû, he worked as a research assistant for the Oral 91¸£Àû Certification Test at Iowa State University and a research intern at Educational Testing Service. In his leisure time he enjoys travelling with his family, reading, and playing basketball.
